Match ended with victory of DKV Joventut, who defeated Union Olimpija with 67:69. Match between KK Union Olimpija and DKV Joventut was played in Tivoli Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 7. December 2006.

INWA (International Nordic Walking Association) convention was held in Smarjeske Toplice, Slovenia between 24th and 26th of November 2006. During this convention various seminars and lectures were held, while attendants also had practical exercises and demonstrations of Nordic walking. Around 100 people, who are active Nordic walking guides, who are in process of getting Nordic walking guide certification, or they are just interested in Nordic walking, attended 3 days seminar in Smarjeske Toplice, Slovenia.

Stefan Lindfors world famous interior architect, designer and sculptorer held a lecture about design Driven by love and fury in City Museum in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 7th of November 2006. Lecture was organised by the Finnish Embassy in Slovenia and Mesec Oblikovanja (Month of Design). <br> Lindfors has designed interiors for shops, restaurants and corporate headquarters. Lindfors has held numerous critically acclaimed one-man exhibitions on his sculpture and design in Helsinki, Copenhagen, London, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Tokyo, etc. His permanent public sculpture-installations can be seen in, among other cities, New York and Helsinki.
