SVN - Slovene MTB Downhill Cup 2005 - Kranjska Gora

Last race of Slovene Cup in MTB Downhill in 2005 season was held in MTB Bike park in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Most difficult wet and muddy upper part of track took its toll sending few riders home with broken bones or bicycles. Luka Novak (Suunto Scott Novice Extreme) won, Bostjan Wolf (Snurfclub RSP) placed second, Janez Jamnik (Fanatic Enduro Maxxis) finished third. Novak also won overall Slovene MTB Downhill cup in season 2005.

SVN - National championship in white water kayak and canu - Kranj

National championship and Slovene cup race in white water canu on artifical kayak track in Tacen. Race counted also as selection race for Slovene Whitewater kayak and canu national team. <br> Simon Hocevar won, Dejan Stevanovic was second and Jost Zakrajsek (all Slovenia) finished third.

SVN - Road cycling race through streets of Kranj

Cyclists riding their bikes during road cycling race accross the streets of Kranj. Cyclists had to finish more then 30 laps through streets of Kranj, before they had chance to sprint uphill for last time and try to win race. Valter Bonca of Sava Kranj won race after he was in leading group of three cyclists for more then 20 laps.

ITF Mens Futures tennis tournament in Kranj. Rok Jarc and Grega Zemlja won in doubles against Saso Bende and Bostjan Mulej with 6:3, 6:3 and they qualifed with this victory for semifinals of doubles part of tournament.

MTB cyclist during cross country MTB race in Kamnik. Cyclists of Elite and Under 23 category had to finish 7 exhausting laps with lot of uphills and hard downhills in real summer heat of 27 degres of Celsius.

MTB cyclist during WD40 Guerrilla Bikes Night in Skofja Loka. Cyclists had to finish short track with artificial obstacles and jumps when competing against clock and opponent to qualify for next round.

Final tournament of Floorball internation league in Skofja Loka. Final match between Skofja Loka Spiders and Zell am See Vikings ended with 5:4 for Spiders.

Sami Uotila of Finland having difficulties during first run of giant slalom race of Audi Alpine Skiing World Cup in Kranjska Gora. Race was won by Benjamin Raich of Austria, who finished before his teammate Hermann Maier of Austria and third placed Kalle Palander of Finland.

Kati Wilhelm of Germany leaving range after fourth shooting during mass start competition of the Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka. Biathlon Ruhrgas World Cup was held on Pokljuka, Slovenia between 16. and 20.February 2005. Biathletes were competing on Sunday in 12.5km race with mass start, which was won by Sandrine Bailly of France, Olga Pyleva of Russia placed second while Kati Wilhelm of Germany finished third.
