The Cooperative Business Bank building (Zadruzna gospodarska banka), which is located in the Miklosiceva ulica street, is one of Ljubljanas most famous buildings. Even though it is located in a brightly coloured Art Nouveau quarter, its richly decorated façade makes it stand out from the surrounding buildings. Built in 1921 by architect Ivan Vurnik, it is considered to be one of the finest examples of the Slovenian national style architecture.

Since the 12th century, the Mestni trg square (Town Square) was one of the centres of medieval Ljubljana, Slovenia. A large number of medieval buildings destroyed in the earthquake of 1511 were replaced by Renaissance and later Baroque buildings, which still give a special character to the square. The best known among them is the Town Hall building (Magistrat) with the famous Fountain of the Three Carniolan Rivers in front of it, built by Francesco Robba between 1743 and 1751.

Urbanc House (Urbanceva hisa), the first department store in Ljubljana, Slovenia, was commissioned by the merchant Feliks Urbanc in 1902 in and finished in 1903. Designed by the Graz-based architect Friedrich Sigismundt, it was modelled on contemporary department stores in Paris, Vienna, Graz and Budapest. The building still serves its original purpose and is hosting store Centromerkur.

It was designed in 1813 by the French engineer J. Blanchard, who joined the two parks which used to surround the Podturn and Cekin Mansions. Measuring about 5 square kilometres, the park is divided by three major horse chestnut-lined walks. Apart from the scattered flower beds and interesting trees, the park decoration includes a large number of statues and several fountains. In 1880, a fish pond was built at the edge of the park.
