: Old houses on Javorniska Planina on Pokljuka plateau, Slovenia, are covered with first snow. Land, which is normally covered with snow on end of November, is this year, hardly covered with snow only few days before Christmas.
Pokljuka is a foresty plateau at the altitude of around 1300 metres, situated partly in the municipality of Bled, Slovenia and partly in municipality of Bohinj, Slovenia in northwestern Slovenia. It is part of Triglav national park. The plateau is known for its winter sports facilities, among which is also yearly Biathlon World Cup, which is held at Biathlon center Pokljuka, Slovenia.
