: The Pungert tract is located at the edge of the old town on the promontory near Trubar Square. Despite a number of reconstructions, Pungert still contains one wholly preserved 16th century medieval defence tower; it served as the towns dungeon (1832) and later was used for housing purposes. In the immediate vicinity of the tower is a Gothic rib-vaulted church built during the 15th century plague and dedicated to the deadly disease protectors, St. Fabian, St. Sebastian and St. Rok. The bell tower and the shed were added to the building in the 18th and 19th centuries respectively.
